Star Trek Communicator - in original box

Flipping the grille open makes the communicator
flash the LEDs and emit realistic sounds
The two silver buttons (below the red and green LEDs)
operate an 8 second digital voice recorder

Lifting the circular cover to reveal the clock
(a watch module which displays time and date)

Lifting the cover that the clock is attached to reveals the calculator

Internal view
The clock is powered by an AG3 battery,
the calculator by an LR1130 and the sounds,
LEDs and digital recorder by 3 x AAA batteries.
No sign of any dilithium crystals!
